Guy's and Girl's,
I absolutely enjoy reading all your personal experiences good and bad on this site, so I am going to chuck one out there for debate.

There are threads to all Canada's truck companies on this site, But here I go "That old chestnut again" can someone please name a truck company that in their opinion or experience was a good one to work for?

Thanks

Ian Cooper :

You could get many recommendations from drivers over here , BUT one man's meat is another's poison ! I'm afraid its a case of suck it and see. Pick the company that's in the area you want to live and do the type of work that you have the most experience in .

Well i think that we have basically established that any company that has to recruit from the UK will not be on the list. That said if i had to do it all again i would not have a problem with coming over to Canada with Big Freight again. Once you get PR status they do not seem to be competitive with regards to wages etc compared to the jobs that are out there but as i have said many times before they are a good place to learn the ins and outs of the job in Canada.
I have had my present job since april 2008 and i rate it very highly.
Well above average mileage rate...paid on odometer miles without question...top spec truck & trailer...averaged well over 20,000kms a month since i started...all premium long haul trips (mostly Mexico "in bond" loads")...and just a really good guy in general to work for.
